About those Interesting Finds posts ...

by Jason Haley 13. January 2007 06:18

First of all, I would like to thank you for reading my blog and for all the feedback/comments you all have given over the past couple of years.

I've been thinking about this for quite some time ... I can no longer continue to scan a huge growing number of blogs that I subscribe to.  Since moving to Seattle, I can no longer read the blogs on my commute (which really was the ideal time to do it).  This year I have quite a number of things I want to accomplish - the first is to spend more quality time on my side projects and less time blogging. Afterall I am no Mike Gunderloy - I can't do a link blog and 100's of other things at the same time :)

My plan on cutting back:

  1. Reduce my opml to contain only feeds I have mentioned in the past couple of years in my Interesting Finds posts
  2. Slowly cut back on the Interesting Finds posts to being driven by the amount of actual interesting entries I have read (not a weeding out list of about 700 unread entries a day)
  3. Add links to the side of my blog for the link blogs that I recommend

For anyone who is interesting in my opml file, I have just posted my biggest one so far at the normal location.  If someone takes my opml file and starts link blogging about it - please let me know so I can subscribe :)  I'll post my new opml file hopefully this weekend after I've finished parsing my blog for the links I have made over the years.

Another of my goals this year is to out number my link blog posts with real content ... which means I need to get busy and spend some time on my side projects so I have something to write about ....

Thanks for reading and stay tuned to this blog for the continued evolving from link dump blog posts to more meaningful content - some being links of course:)
