I'm actually surprised I was tagged ... usually these things go around the net and I fly under the radar and miss them. I can blame this on my friends The Igloo Coder, Robert Hurlbut and Dave Burke. So I guess I'm suppose to mention 5 things (or 15 for 3 I guess) so that most people don't know ... here goes:
- I grew up on a farm in Indiana a few miles away from a small town of about 200 people
- My K-12 grade school was all in one building (not that small of a building ~1,000 students in all)
- I never took a computer class in college
- I have a double major in International Business and Spanish
- I studied in Guadalajara Mexico as an exchange student for a year
- I moved to Boston after college with out a job and knowing only two people in the city
- My first job in Boston was at Macy's
- I also worked security at Logan airport (X-ray machine, etc)
- I met my wife at a company Christmas party (we worked in different departments)
- I started programming in order to automate tasks I had to do on a regular basis while working at an insurance company
- I moved to Seatle without a job and knowing only a few people in the city (still only know few)
- I now work for InfoSpace (http://www.infospaceinc.com) as a Sr. Software Engineer in the Mobile Division
- I just last week adopted a cat from the animal shelter (mostly black cat named Salem)
- I stopped drinking 12/31/2006
- I'm currently reading Serge Lidin's Expert .Net 2.0 IL Assembler in order to get started on finishing my disassembler (Debirs)
So now I guess I'll tag some people who I know rarely blog any more: Greg McKinley, Aaron Weiker, Ernie Booth, Lutz Roeder, Options Scalper .. it will be interesting to see if they respond ...
