Long term contract located in Copley Square, Boston. We are seeking an architech level software developer to assist in the design of new applications (.net) and the re-writing of old VB apps using .net. This positon is for a senior level experienced developer.

• Develop technology projects using software development life cycle; including technical design and specifications determined from business requirement documents
• Develop information technology solutions based on business need and technical considerations
• Ablity to translate business requirements into a technical design

• Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines
• Provide technical expertise, direction and leadership to other team members
• Perform research and analysis for problem resolution
• Shared on call support during work hours, M-F only which supports applications written in VB3, 4, 5
• Re-write of old VB applicatons to .NET environment
• Implement programming changes to production following release strategy procedures
• A working knowledge of Oracle database
• Familiarity with source control software: Source Safe & PVCS
