Senior .NET Developer, Technology Guru

StreetAccount is a leading provider of real-time stock market commentary for brokerage firms, hedge funds and mutual funds.

We are seeking a rock-star developer with a few notches under their belt with respect to the following:

• Familiarity with HTML & Javascript
• UI design / Creative Genius – Almost anyone can build web pages and applications these days. We’re not looking for someone who can make them tolerable to look at, we want our clients to love them. Please provide screenshots of your work.
• Seasoned veteran in database design, SQL stored procedure programming & testing. If you like to Select *, don’t know what NOLOCK means or the difference between an inner and outer join, please do not apply.
• Strong programming experience using Microsoft .NET technologies (VB.NET and C#.NET) in both application and web-centric environments. We use VB.NET in our Web environment and C# for applications. Someone who loves both is our ideal candidate.
• Visual Studio and Visual Source safe guru
• A strong understanding of windows 2003 networking – working knowledge of Active Directory and windows scripting is a huge plus
• Strong familiarity with "traditional" Microsoft development languages/tools such as ASP 3.0
• Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role delivering Web-based applications, experience with web server farms is a must

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS/computer science (or related)

• Microsoft certifications are a plus
