Coreweb is an IT consulting firm and web based software incubator located near Woburn, MA. We specialize in Microsoft .NET technologies. We are actively engaged in a number of exciting projects that incorporate the latest developments in Web 2.0 and Web Services.

We are looking for a junior to mid-Level Web Application Developer who has established industry experience, but continues to have a deep commitment and passion around technology. The ideal candidate would be an intelligent, highly motivated, proactive individual who has a desire to become the best at what they do.

You have:
·     At least two years of demonstrable programming experience. It would be great if you know C#, but we are willing to train smart Java, C++, VB, etc. developers in the mysteries of C#. (Experience with Asp 3.0, COM, Active X would be a small plus.)
·     Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MYSQL, etc.)
·     Interest in (and experience with) the business side of programming. For example, requirements gathering spec writing, etc. Experience with Agile or traditional project management methodologies would be a plus.
·     Broad knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, and _JavaScript. Experience with AJAX would be nice, but if not we can teach you.
·     Experience with reporting technologies such as Crystal or SQL Reporting Services.
·     Commitment to craftsmanship (you care what your code looks like) and familiarity with object oriented design patterns.
·     Ability to clearly communicate and understand technical and business requirements.
·     A strong desire and commitment to continual learning and a passion for web-based technology. Curiosity that lets you appreciate new developments.

Application Developer

Responsibilities:
This position acts as a key liaison between business users and the Information Service Department, coordinating all day-to-day activities for programs within the company’s business mission including new website activities. The following are some of the responsibilities that this position will include:
  • Manage the system development life cycle (SDLC) including but not limited to the areas of analyzing business requirements, systems designing, coding, testing, documenting and implementation to enhance existing systems and develop new systems.
  • Develop new features to enhance the Bureau’s website.
  • Develop and maintain new/ existing web applications.
  • Maintain and support SQL Server 2000 databases.
Requirements:
Key to this position will be the ability to understand and gather business requirements and develop them into completed website applications. Education, abilities and desired skills are listed below:
    Educational:
    Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field.
    Abilities and Skills:
  • Knowledge or experience in developing and supporting an organization’s web applications.
  • Knowledge or experience with Visual Studio.NET, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, VBScript, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Design and development experience using SQL Server 2000 including stored procedures, views and DTS.
  • Knowledge or experience deploying and maintaining Internet and Intranet websites using IIS 5/6.
  • Good understand of building custom classes and controls.
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and analytical skills.
