Senior Software Engineer - VB.NET

Cheshire Software, a leading provider of personal financial planning software, has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer.  We are looking for someone who wants to use their .NET skills within a small, focused development team to design and build user interfaces, algorithms, middle-tier components, and data-tier objects for desktop applications.

Successful candidates will have:

. 3 - 6 years of software development experience
. Proficiency in Microsoft .NET technologies using VB.NET
. Experience with ADO.NET and SQL Server 2000
. Experience with XML/XSL
. A knowledge of software design principals and patterns
. A BS/BA degree in Computer Science
. The ability to maintain proper coding practice and documentation, even under deadlines
. The ability to evaluate and learn new technologies and apply them effectively
. The ability to work in a small team developing a large application
. Experience in using third party controls such as grid, chart etc. (not required but a major plus)
. Experience in developing products sold to outside customers (also not required but a major plus)
