Technology Architect - Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) - Business

The MTC in Waltham is looking for a technical sales professional with
deep and broad technology implementation experience as well as strong
solution selling skills. In this role, you will work with business and
technical decision makers from Microsoft enterprise accounts as well as
Microsoft partners and Microsoft account teams. You will focus on
leading Strategy Briefings (SBs), Architecture Design Sessions (ADSs),
and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), helping enterprise customers identify and
articulate the business opportunity, propose and validate solution
architectures, and transfer knowledge on best practices through
interactive white boarding sessions and hands-on delivery.
The successful candidate will have deep enterprise development
experience, including in-depth, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft SQL
Server and Analysis Server. Experience with SAP online and business
intelligence systems is preferred. The ability to explain abstract
technical concepts in a business value context is a must. Hands-on
competitive experience, particularly with J2EE, Linux, Websphere, and
BEA is a definite plus. A BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
combined with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience,
including a technical sales background is strongly preferred.
The position requires a commitment to customer satisfaction, including
internal customers, the ability to thrive in a virtual team environment,
and strong communication and presentation skills. The candidate must be
a self-starter who takes ownership of opportunities, works
independently, manages multiple simultaneous projects, and deals well
with ambiguity and last-minute changes. The candidate needs to have the
ability and passion necessary to maintain technical excellence with
emerging technologies, including competitive technologies, while
continuing to manage customer opportunities.
