This individual will help with database design, data mapping and data load programs for the new Authoring and Editorial system. This application is the follow up to the POC we did in Q3 2005.
This role will work with the business units and other information system team members to deliver functional requirements, design, development, and QA of technical solutions and applications.
Required Experience:
* .NET (C#), XML/XSLT & Web Services
* Strong database skills in design and stored procedures
* Oracle (9i or 10g)
* Have excellent communication skills (communicate technical issues to non-technical people)
*Integrate .NET code into the database
* Write programs to load data from old systems into new systems
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
* Content management system
* Workflow
* Daily publishing

.NET Senior Engineer

pay rate is $60-65/hr
looking for a strong .Net developer with VB.Net, C# and 3+ years experience with .Net. The duration is 6 months minimally. FIIS has a major .Net initiative underway called FIIS View. This project and related efforts are likely to create significant demand for .Net developers. World Class is a 4-tier Windows application written mostly in .NET. There is the presentation layer (GUI) that consists of numerous class libraries written in VB.NET. The business class layer is all written in C#. Then there is a web services layer that communicates between the business class layer and the Oracle database. There are also pieces written in C++/COM and VB 6.0. There was a major release in December and there appears to be a number of bugs. The application is also being enhanced for an April release (and beyond).
The major new pieces will be written entirely in C#.
