Oatmeal Caramelitas
Crust:
2 c. loosely packed flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. softened margarine
Combine crust ingredients and press 1/2 of crumbs in a 9 x 13 inch greased baking dish and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Filling:
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. caramel ice cream topping
3 T. flour
Sprinkle crust with chocolate chips and nuts. Blend caramel topping and flour and drizzle over chocolate chips and nuts. Sprinkle rest of crumbs over this and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cut into bars.
