A different life

IMing one of my best friends today (Joe Gillespie).  His job title is something like Manager - Diving Operations.  He does a lot of off shore work in the Gulf of Mexico....

Anyways this is what I mean be “A different life”:

Today he is setting some explosives  .... he has to go 90 feet into a 30 inch pipe head first to set them (since he is the smallest guy on the crew), which is in 55 feet of water. 30 feet below the mudline from a platform that is 10 feet above the water and about 8 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico.  The explosives are for removing an oil platform, which means they are required to cut everything at a minimum of 15 feet below the mudline....

A bit different than my normal day...
