Made it to Campus

by Jason Haley 21. April 2004 03:38

Found my way over to the campus.  Some how found Building 33 on the first pass through the campus.  If you have never been here before the signs are everywhere, but there is no pattern to the numbering of the buildings. (this is my first time but I have read other blogs that stated this).

Campus looks great, I forgot how pretty the northwest is.  I am standing at a Kiosk that is for internet access only in the conference center... great idea I wish some other conference centers would do this.  So much to do today... need to go see if the breakfast is ready and meet some people.

I'll try to blog the events of this conference (at least some of the interesting stuff) for the architecture track.

Am I the only one who thinks the word “architect” is over used these days?  At this conference I think for the track descriptions it is being used correctly, but alot of the time (especially on resumes) architect is used when I think designwould be more appropriate...(ie. “I played an important part in architecting the solution to the problem” vs. “I played an important part in designing teh solution to the problem”).
