Passed 70-229!!

I've been busy as hell this week at work and studying for the SQL Server exam.  Took it (the exam) this morning at 10am.  I think I was out of there around 11:30am with a sheet of paper saying I passed.  So relieved!

I will write more later about what I learned studying for this exam (70-229) and sort of compare that to my 6 years of experience using and programming various databases in the real world.

Now its time to go have nice Mexican lunch and a few maragaritas to celebrate my passing the exam.

Congrats. I am very interested in hearing your view on this exam as I heard it was one of the toughest ones out there. When you do provide more info, could you share what materials you studied with and how well they related to the material on the exam.

Well done, I've got mine in the morning, and everytime I start thinking it's going to be ok, I suddenly remember that I'm stupid!

Still irony is that I went to do it last week, and the computer systems had crashed at my venue and no one could get them working (it had been 2 days!!!!!). As I left I got thinking, was this a new exam format? Were Microsoft trying to make the exams more real world?

Yep, knew it. I am stupid.

Got 654 (pass is 700), and kicking myself for changing a couple of answers once I'd got to the end. Still don't think its an embarising score, three right that I got wrong, and I'd be an MCP.

Oh well, try again...
